Welcome to Paritala Sriramulu Government Degree College

The Government Degree College, Penukonda, a historical place (Second Capital of Srikrishnadevaraya of Vijayanagara Dynasty) in the Ananatpuram district of Andhra Pradesh was established in 1980 with the objective to bring social change and development through education in this backward Rayalaseema region. The College was shifted to the present building in 2003. Previously it was run on shift basis in the existing Government Junior College buildings in the heart of the town. Sri.A.Ramappa was the founder Principal of the college. In due course the college was named after the bereaved local popular leader Late Sri. Paritala Sriramulu. The College is affiliated to S. K. University and is recognized by the UGC under its sections 2f and 12B in November, 1994.
